connection speeds cited above refer to the line rates between your business and
the Verizon serving office. The
line rate is the rate that all information including user content, signaling
information and overhead is carried. This
rate is affected by factors such as distance from the Verizon serving
office. The actual
data transfer speed or throughput that you will experience will be lower than
the line rate after accounting for overhead factors that can not be controlled
by Verizon or CBL Consulting, including Internet congestion or
server and router speeds for the Web sites you are accessing. The term
“downstream” refers to the bandwidth from the Internet to your business and
that is used for downloading files or Web pages.
Upstream speed is from your business to the Internet and is used for
